Boddie / Bodie Genealogy

Eighteenth Century District of Edgefield, South Carolina

Thanks to John Bennett Boddie and Ree Herring Hendrick who wrote several books about the Boddie families, much of the research has already been done on this family. 

Some have traced the family lines back to the twelfth century crusades and others say the ancestral line goes back through Henry I, all the way to Charlemagne in the eighth century. For the purpose of our project we're concentrating on where John Bennett Boddie left off in the "Seventeenth Century Isle of White County, Virginia" and beginning in the Eighteenth Century District of Edgefield, South Carolina.
